On 1/16/2022 Officers with the Pomona Police Department -responded- to the train tracks adjacent to the 1600 blk. of W. Second S.t in Pomona after an unknown caller reported that there was a person in the area suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers located the male adult victim near the tracks and he was pronounced deceased by members of the LA Co. Fire Department that had also responded. Detectives with the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded to assume the investigation. At this time, the suspect in the shooting is unknown and the motive for the killing is also unknown.

The investigation is on-going and the motive for the shooting is unknown. There is no suspect information at this time.
