On 2/02/2022 officers from the Pomona Police Department -responded- to the 300 block of E. Foothill Blvd in Pomona, after a caller reported hearing gunshots in the area. Officers discovered a male adult victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was treated at the scene for his injuries, but he eventually succumbed to them and was pronounced dead by members of the LA County Fire Department, who had also responded. The investigation was taken over by detectives from the Pomona Police Department's Major Crimes Unit. At this time, the suspect in the shooting is unknown, as is the motive for the killing.
