On 4/29/22, Officers from the Pomona Police Department responded to the area of N. Thomas St. and W. Commercial St. for a reported victim of a shooting. Responding officers found a male adult down in the roadway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital via ambulance but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Homicide Detectives from the Pomona Police Departments Major Crimes Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The motive for the shooting is unknown and no suspects have been identified.
